The Editorial Board of the Journal adheres to the principles of academic integrity and transparency when preparing, reviewing and publishing scientific materials. In connection with the spread of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, the Editorial Board of the Journal establishes the following rules for the use of AI tools by authors, reviewers and editors.
- General provisions
AI tools (for example, automatic text generation, translation, editing or data analysis systems) may be used only as an auxiliary tool in the preparation of scientific materials.
Responsibility for the content of the article, the reliability of research results, correct citation and compliance with the principles of academic integrity lies entirely with the author (or authors) of the submitted work.
AI tools cannot be indicated as authors of a scientific article.
- Permissible ways of using AI
Authors may use AI tools for:
- linguistic editing of the text;
- checking grammar and style;
- translating the text;
- technical assistance in data processing or programming;
- preparation of illustrations or graphic elements, if this does not affect the scientific reliability of the results.
The use of AI should not lead to the creation of falsified data, unreliable research results or hidden borrowing of other people’s materials.
- Unacceptable use of AI
It is prohibited to:
- submit AI-generated text as the result of your own scientific research without proper verification and editing;
- use AI to create falsified research results, data, images or tables;
- use AI to generate fictitious references or bibliographic sources;
- indicate AI systems as authors or co-authors of the article.
- Disclosure of information on the use of AI
If AI tools were used during the preparation of the article, the authors must report this in the article or in a cover letter to the editor.
The message should indicate:
- the name of the AI tool;
- the purpose of its use;
- the extent of use during manuscript preparation.
- Use of AI during review
Reviewers should not use AI systems to analyze manuscripts if this involves transferring the manuscript text to third-party services, which may violate the confidentiality of the review process.
- Authors’ responsibility
Authors are fully responsible for:
- originality of the text;
- reliability of research results;
- correctness of citation and sources used.
The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject the manuscript or withdraw the published article if violations of this policy are found.
